He fills my days with love and encouragement
I woke up one morning this week feeling irritated and tired after a week and a half of fighting the caterpillars that were trying to destroy our beautiful trees. I spent hours spraying the trees and then rinsing them, which started... By negatively affecting my morale and muscles. On this very morning I had become convinced that the caterpillars could not be defeated, until I saw a message written in chalk on the blackboard from my dear husband of forty-seven years. The message included: “I heard the caterpillars talking last night at 3:30 in the morning. They are about to give up, so keep going.” “Good job.” She turned the board over and there was the rest of the message saying: “You are a brave warrior, finish them off!” I don't think I could love my husband more than I do now. He always leaves me wonderful messages of love and support; I believe that the heart always grows. With a squirt of soap in hand I set about fighting off the invaders for another day, now rid of the grubs and saving my trees, except for the individual fallen leaves that will grow back this summer, all thanks to a heartfelt letter from a man who is an amazing husband, father, and grandfather!
